Application Phase | 30 April - 13 August [Extended]

Deliverables to submit

Register on the platform and submit a PDF presentation (10-slides maximum, in English only), with the following details:
 
  • Problem/solution
  • Market and total addressable market (TAM)
  • Value proposition and positioning
  • Go-to-market strategy
  • The business/revenue model
  • Traction: KPI metrics & milestones
  • Forecast 2021/2022
  • Team Presentation
 
Any international startups with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and meet the following conditions are eligible to participate:
- can illustrate initial signs of traction;
- have proprietary technology or solutions.
 
Complete your application by 13 August 2021, 23:59 (GMT+8) to participate.

Assessment method

Projects will be assessed by a panel of esteemed jury members from the four challenge sectors based on the following criteria:
 
  • Technical Depth
  • Team
  • Growth Potential
  • Feasibility of Business Model
  • Differentiation & Impact of Value proposition

Results announcement

The Top 500 Startups will be selected to progress to the Deepening Phase.
 
The results will be released between 8 to 10 September 2021.

 

Additional Opportunities

This year, the opportunity to participate in the Corporate Challenge to network and connect with corporate representatives will be extended to the Top 1,000 Startups. More information to come at a later date!

Deepening phase - Top 500 Global Startups | September 13 - September 22

Deliverables to submit

The Top 500 shortlisted Startups will need to submit a 2-minute video introducing their business - elevator pitch style!
Submit your video pitch by 22 September 2021, 23:59 (GMT+8) to be considered for the next phase.

Results Announcement

Projects will be reviewed by a jury panel of investors and corporates. Only the Top 100 Global Startups will progress to SLINGSHOT 2021’s Virtual Finals.

The results will be announced between 8 to 9 October 2021.

 

SLINGSHOT 2021 Virtual Finals | November 8-10

Pitching Event

SLINGSHOT’s Top 100 Global Startups will pitch on the global stage as part of the Singapore Week of Innovation and TeCHnology (SWITCH 2021). In addition to a judging panel of over 100 corporates, investors, and thought leaders, the competition will be watched closely by startup communities across the globe.

All Top 100 Global Startups will also be invited for deal-making and networking opportunities with corporates and investors from relevant industries during the Virtual Finals.

After the initial pitch, SLINGSHOT 2021’s Top 12 Sector Winners will be announced on 9 November 2021.

The Grand Finals will be held on 10 November, and the Top 12 Global Startups will battle once more for the title of SLINGSHOT 2021’s Grand Winner.

Prizes

The Top 10 Sector Winners will be awarded a S$50,000 Startup SG grant.

One Grand Winner will also be selected to win an additional S$200,000 Startup SG grant prize to enable you to grow your business and further develop your product in Singapore.
