The main theme of the SECOM ANSHIN Innovation Challenge is Ultimate ANSHIN (Peace of Mind) Beyond Boundaries. If your startup offers a solution that improves the safety and peace of mind of societies, you can participate in the category that best fits your idea. The examples we have given below are quite technical, however even if your solution isn’t heavily technology based, we are interested in hearing from you!

Physical/Cyber Security Innovation

Since 1962, SECOM has been providing security services to meet the security needs of a wide range of people.


In the security business, which is one of our main areas of activity, we are keen to incorporate innovative technologies, community-based ideas and service proposals from both a physical and cyber perspective.


We are looking for any solution or advanced technology that increases the effectiveness and efficiency of physical security methods. Additionally, cyber security is in need of constant incremental innovation as malicious technologies keep evolving.

 Healthcare Innovation

SECOM also seeks peace of mind through healthcare.


We believe that innovative health promotion, prevention, mental health care and monitoring solutions using digital technology are the way to reduce anxiety in society.


If you have any solution or innovative technology that enhances people’s quality of life, this category is for you! For example, if your product/service can disrupt the healthcare industry in:

  • Digital Health
  • Medtech
  • Mental Health
  • Wellness

NB: drug-based solutions are out of scope for this category.

With/After Covid-19 Innovation

The Covid-19 pandemic has dramatically changed people's lifestyles and what we need to go on about our daily lives.


We are now in need of innovative reassurance solutions to cope with changes that Covid-19 has brought about in the workplace, changes in crisis management and the increasing demand of logistic solutions.


Therefore, we are looking for technologies which can help during/post Covid-19 management, for example:

  • Critical Event Management
  • Workplace/Workforce optimization
