APPLICATION PHASE
June 8 - August 24, 2020
The platform is officially open for application. You can participate individually as the representative of your startup. Multi-participation is welcomed if you have more than one solutions that you'd like to apply for!
Once you are registered to participate, you can select the problem statement to tackle and submit up to 10-slide PDF presentation addressing the following topics:
- Problem & Solution (Technology Description)
- Value proposition and positioning
- Business/revenue model
- Traction: KPI metrics & milestones
- Forecast 2020/2021
- Team introduction
The extended deadline of the submission will be on August 31 at 11:59pm SGT (GMT+8).
SEMI-FINALISTS SELECTION
September 1 - September 21, 2020
All completed submissions will be reviewed by the L’Oréal Tech Experts.
Up to 20 startups will be shortlisted to advance onto the Mentoring Phase to compete as semi-finalists.
The announcement will be made on September 22.
MENTORING PHASE
September 22 - October 20, 2020
The 20 semi-finalists will be connected to the L’Oréal Tech Experts to receive mentoring and further enhance their proposals.
At the end of this phase, each semi-finalist are required to submit a deliverable in a format of:
- 20-slide Deck
- 2-min Demo video
The deadline of the submission will be on October 20 at 12pm SGT (GMT+8).
FINALISTS SELECTION
October 21 - October 23, 2020
The deliverables will be reviewed by the L’Oréal Tech Experts.
Up to 10 startups will be selected as finalists to pitch at the virtual Final Event.
The announcement will be made on October 23.
VIRTUAL FINAL
November, 2020
In light of the current COVID-19 situation, the final event will be hosted virtually, where the 10 finalists will pitch in front of the jury panel from L’Oréal and selected partners.
The format of pitch will be:
- 2 mins pitch
- 2 mins Q&A
The Top 2 winners will be selected to participate as part of the SLINGSHOT 2020 Top 100 Global Startups.
