SLINGSHOT 2023 - Deep tech startup pitching competition

You can sign up at https://slingshot.agorize.com/2023-edition with a valid email address. Click on ‘Participate’ to receive announcements and notifications about the competition.

When there is an update, you will receive an email from the admin on the Agorize platform and at your provided email address. Please make sure you have clicked ‘Participate’ and check your junk mailbox!

The Agorize platform is open for support and can answer any question related to the competition. Use the messaging feature and reach out to your admin.

You will receive an email confirmation upon successful registration for the SLINGSHOT 2023 competition. If you do not receive any confirmation within 24 hours, please reach out to ridihka.chopra@agorize.com.

To update your details, log in, and go to your participant profile to edit or change your details.

In this challenge, only one team member should apply and will act as the representative for the startup in question.

• Can illustrate initial signs of traction;
• Have proprietary technology or solutions.

Regardless of your business area, all startups are welcome to apply in any domains stated in the SLINGSHOT 2023 Competition:

• Transformative Digital Technologies
• Health and Biomedical
• Manufacturing, Trade and Connectivity
• Environment, Energy and Green Technologies
• Consumer Media, Goods and Services

There is no template but please do a final check prior to submission:

• Your PDF must be in English
• Please preview and confirm that your submissions are accurate

For the Deepening Phase, if you are one of the Top 250 Global Startups, your representative must submit a short video introduction (up to 2 mins in length) for the company, elevator pitch style!

Mentorship is part of the awards for the Top 50 Global Startups that will be attending the Grand Final Event. 

To interact with your mentors, please visit your participation space and open the tab called "Mentors". There you will find the Agorize messaging feature.

Each participating team will receive mentorship from up to 5 Mentors.

Your Mentors are selected by top industry leaders and will be revealed at a later date.

You are welcome to reach out to your assigned Mentors for technical assistance related to your team's solution/business model.

For questions regarding the challenge or the framework of the competition, please reach out to the admins.

The Top 250 Global Startups will have the chance to participate in a SLINGSHOT Corporate Mixer to connect with innovation-ready corporates and embark on co-innovation projects with them. 

The announcement for the Top 50 Global Startups will be made between September 25-27.

The winning startups will be invited to the SLINGSHOT 2023 Physical Finals from 31 October to 2 November 2023.

Grand Winner and Domain Winners:

• Grand Winner (overall): S$200,000 Startup SG grant, 18 months’ rent-free space at LaunchPad
• 1st Runner Up: S$150,000 Startup SG grant, 12 months’ rent-free space at LaunchPad
• 2nd Runner Up: S$100,000 Startup SG grant prize, 6 months’ rent-free space at LaunchPad
  
• Top 10 Domain winners: S$50,000 Startup SG grant

Top 50 Global Startups: 

• A sponsored trip to Singapore to participate in the Physical Immersion programme
• An exclusive invitation to compete at SLINGSHOT 2023’s Physical Finals, held as part of SWITCH
• 1 x complimentary Digital Premium Pass to SWITCH 2023
• 1 complimentary SWITCH 2023 exhibition space to showcase your startup
• Eligibility for EntrePass, the working visa for foreign entrepreneurs in Singapore [International applicants only]

• The chance to participate in a SLINGSHOT Corporate Mixer to connect with innovation-ready corporates and embark on co-innovation projects with them.

The Physical Finals will take place in Singapore from 31 October to 2 November, as part of the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) 2023.

All startups will be assessed based on the below 5 evaluation criteria:

• Technical Depth
• Team 
• Growth Potential
• Feasibility of Business Model
• Differentiation and Impact of Value Proposition
