Application Phase | 26 April - 31 July

Deliverables to submit

Register on the platform and submit a PDF presentation (10-slides maximum, in English only) with the following details:
 
  • Your problem/solution
  • Market and total addressable market (TAM)
  • Value proposition and positioning
  • Go-to-market strategy
  • The business/revenue model
  • Traction: KPI metrics & milestones
  • Forecast 2022/2023
  • Team Presentation
  
Complete your application by 31 July 2022, 23:59 (GMT+8) to participate.

Assessment method

Projects will be assessed by a panel of esteemed jury members from the five challenge sectors, according to the following criteria:
 
  • Technical Depth
  • Team
  • Growth Potential
  • Feasibility of Business Model
  • Differentiation & Impact of Value proposition

Results announcement

The Top 250 Startups will be selected to progress to the Deepening Phase.
 
The results will be released between 20-24 August 2022.

 

Additional Opportunities

This year, the opportunity to participate in the Corporate Dealmixer to network and connect with corporate representatives will be extended to the Top 250 Startups. More information to come at a later date!

Deepening phase - Top 250 Global Startups | August 20 - 31

Deliverables to submit

The Top 250 shortlisted Startups will need to submit a 2-minute video introducing their business, elevator pitch style!
Submit your video pitch by 31 August 2022, 23:59 (GMT+8) to be considered for the next phase.

Results Announcement

Projects will be reviewed by a jury panel of investors and corporates. Only the Top 50 Global Startups will progress to SLINGSHOT 2022’s Physical Finals.

The results will be announced between 16 - 19 September 2022.

 

SLINGSHOT 2022 Physical Finals | October 25 - 27

Pitching Event

SLINGSHOT’s Top 50 Global Startups will pitch LIVE in Singapore as part of the Singapore Week of Innovation and TeCHnology (SWITCH 2022). In addition to a judging panel of leading corporates, investors and thought leaders, the competition will be watched closely by the startup communities across the globe.

All Top 50 Global Startups will also be invited for deal-making and networking opportunities with corporates and investors from relevant industries prior to and during the Physical Finals.

After the initial pitch, SLINGSHOT 2022’s Top 10 Sector Winners will be announced on 26 October 2022.

The competition continues during the Grand Finals on 27 October, as the Top 10 Global Startups battle once more for the title of SLINGSHOT 2022’s Grand Winner.

Prizes

Grant prizes will be awarded to the Top 10 Sector Winners as well as the 2nd Runner Up, 1st Runner Up, and the Grand Winner to enable you to grow your business and further develop your product in Singapore.

The Grand Winner of SLINGSHOT 2022 will receive:

  • S$200,000 Startup SG grant prize

The 1st Runner Up of SLINGSHOT 2022 will receive:

  • S$150,000 Startup SG grant prize

The 2nd Runner Up of SLINGSHOT 2022 will receive:

  • S$100,000 Startup SG grant prize

The Top 10 Startups will each receive:

  • S$50,000 Startup SG grant prize
