SLINGSHOT 2020 - Startup Competition

You can sign up at https://slingshot.agorize.com/2020-edition with a valid email address. Click on ‘Participate’ to receive announcements and notifications about the competition.

When there is an update, you will receive an email from the admin on the Agorize platform and at your provided email address. Please make sure you have clicked ‘Participate’ and check your junk mailbox!

The Agorize platform is open for customer support and can answer any question related to the competition.

You will receive an email confirmation upon successful registration for the Slingshot 2020. If you do not receive any confirmation within 24 hours, please reach out to david.gomez@agorize.com.

To update your details, log in, and go to your participant profile to edit or change your details.

In this challenge, only one team member should apply and will act as the representative for the startup in question.

During the signup process, there is an option to submit a PDF presentation for this track. There can be up to 3 slides in this deck and should be in English only. Startups that can best explain how their solution creates the post-Covid are at an advantage to win this challenge.

Regardless of your business area, all startups are welcome to apply in any categories stated in the Slingshot 2020 Competition:

• Digital solutions, Consumer products & services
• FoodTech & AgriTech
• HealthTech, BioTech & MedTech
• Manufacturing, Logistics & Transportation
• Urban Solutions, Sustainability & Energy

There is no template but please do a final check prior to submission:

• Your PDF must be in English
• Please preview and confirm that your submissions are accurate

For the Deepening Phase, your representative must submit a short video introduction (up to 2 mins in length) for the company, elevator pitch style!

Mentoring is part of the awards for the TOP 100 global startups that will be attending the Grand Online Final Event. 

To interact with your mentors please visit your participation space and open the tab called "Mentors" there you will find the Agorize messaging feature.

Each participating team will receive mentorship from up to 5 Mentors.

Your Mentors are selected by top industry leaders and will be revealed at a later date.

You are welcome to reach out to your assigned Mentors for technical assistance related to your team's solution/business model.

The announcement for the TOP 100 startups (up to 20 startups/sector) will be made on the 19th of October.

The winning startups will be invited to the SLINGSHOT online final event from 7 to 11 December 2020.

• One Grand Winner (overall): S$200,000 Startup SG grant and S$10,000 cash prize by L’Oreal
• Top 10 Sector Winners (2 per Challenge Sector): S$50,000 Startup SG grant
• Top 100 Global Startups: 

• An invitation to the Virtual Semi-Finals as part of SFF x SWITCH 2020
• EntrePass (working visa for foreign entrepreneurs in Singapore) [International applicants only]
• Access to corporates, investors and mentor networks
• The winner of SLINGSHOT COVID-19 Challenge award will receive:
• S$50,000 Startup SG Grant
• S$10,000 cash prize sponsored by L’Oréal
• Top 500 startups: An opportunity to participate in the corporate innovation platform and connect with corporates innovation players to embark on co-innovation projects and win up to S$30,000 StartupSG Grant prizes.
